Rdevia announces Michelle Hollinger will assume the role of Senior Visitor effective June 1, 2023. As Senior Visitor, Michelle will become Co-Chair of the Board for a 2-year term. Michelle is assuming this role after faithfully serving Rdevia as an Associate Visitor since 2021. As an Associate Visitor, Michelle was instrumental in raising awareness and support for the Organization.
Michelle Hollinger
Michelle Hollinger is a writer, sociologist, social worker, editor, magazine publisher, and screenwriter determined to use every ounce of talent God blessed her with. She is the Senior Program and Initiative Manager at the Center for Black Innovation and she recently founded The Alliance for Authentic Allyship to bring together Black people and allies to finally eradicate hateful extremism from America. Michelle has served as editor of two of South Florida’s most prominent newspapers, The Miami Times and the South Florida Times. She is the author of “Sis, You’re Worth It: Seven Ideas for Manifesting Your Best Life,” “Worthy,” and “Are You Worthy? Powerful Steps for a Resounding Yes!” The books capture her healthy obsession with worthiness by illuminating the impact it has on people’s lives. She most recently released her newest book, "Understanding Crack-ers: A spiritual approach to comprehending why some White people are so hateful."
A proud graduate of Florida State University and Miami Jackson Senior High, Michelle is a mother to three awesome young adults and a grandmother to an amazing granddaughter and bonus grandson.
Rdevia is governed by three leadership groups. The Corporation (the Organization's legal governing body of fiduciary stewards, comprised of Trustees), the Grand Parliament (the Organization's founding body, comprised of Peers who preserve heritage and culture), and the Board of Visitors (the Organization's largest governing group comprised of community leaders who provide advisory and support advancement).
